Welcome to “BLOG.”

Once you create a WordPress account, you all should have contributor access to this blog, which means you write posts. To do so, simply click on “New Post” in the toolbar at the top of the blog. Write a title (something catchy, natch) in the field at the top, and start writing text in the main pane underneath the title.

Two assignments for Wednesday:

* Suggest a name for the blog, and your reason why we should choose that name.
* Post a link to your favorite commercial and explain its argument — its reason why you should buy the product.

You’re not limited to those two assignments. Feel free to use this blog for sharing any thoughts or interesting links with the class.

Please write your name at the end of your post.

If you’re struggling with getting a WordPress account, posting an entry, or using the controls in WordPress, give me a holler at wvs11@psu.edu…

    Tide Talking Stain Commercial
In this Commercial there is a man interviewing for a job and while doing so his stain on his shirt is talking at the same time. So instead of the employer listening to the interviewee he is more focused on the stain the whole time. I feel that the argument of this commercial is that if you have a very visible stain that it will tarnish your chances in a job interview or in any important one on one interaction. This ad definitely gets your attention because it is a possible scenario that could happen to anyone. The talking stain is a great way to grab the audience’s attention and keep them interested the whole thirty seconds that the commercial is on.
